We've got a wild notion: what if her songs were adapted to film?

There's just something about a vignette, that story that plays with the elements of shorthand to tell something we might ordinarily watch in 90 minutes instead in the span of about 10. So what would happen if someone took the works of a storyteller musician -- like Taylor Swift -- and applied it to a cinematic format similar to Paris Je T'Aime and New York, I Love You, in which each of Swift's songs were translated by an established filmmaker into a short work of cinema? Or perhaps rather than the short film format, what if the works were assembled as an interwoven series of stories like Love Actually, Valentine's Day, or He's Just Not That Into You? What would that look like? Especially if they had the courage to not actually include the songs themselves in the film?

While people often joke about Swift's songs all sounding the same, each one tells a very different story -- with almost all of her songs detailing a love affair that seems more inspired by romantic fiction than it does the tales of her own life. It seems only fair to translate them back. Here are the songs that seem most ripe for the picking.

"Love Story"
A young boy falls for a young girl, but Dad isn't happy about it. Pretty classic story. How exactly would someone deal with a softened, country version of Romeo and Juliet with a happy ending? The right visual director could nail this. Think Julie Taymor and you're on the right track.

"You Belong With Me"
A young tomboy pines wistfully for her best friend who happens to be dating a cheerleader. The question is: Will she tell him? And if she does, will he realize that she's the one he loves?

"Teardrops on My Guitar"
The antithesis of "You Belong With Me," this is the story of a girl in love with her best friend Drew, only this time she doesn't have the courage to do anything but cry about it. He tells her everything and believes he's really found the right girl this time, and it seems he'll never notice how much the girl really loves him. No matter what, this one can't have a happy ending. You always have to have a bit of heartbreak, and this is the song to nail it.

"Fifteen"
This song starts with a young girl on her first day of school and follows her through the adventures and heartbreak of falling in love for the first time. This is one of the Taylor Swift songs that tells a story, but does so fairly ambiguously. There are a number of ways a director could take this and do something incredibly sweet with it -- or something incredibly daring.

"Tim McGraw"
The song that got her noticed, Swift's song isn't actually about Tim McGraw, it's about a young girl (I know, I know) who is pining for the boy she spent the summer in love with. She's written him a letter she's never delivered, and hopes secretly that he thinks of her every time he hears the music of Tim McGraw. What does the letter say? And what will he do when he reads it?

"Speak Now"
This one is the trickiest. It's the story of a young girl who sneaks into her ex's wedding in order to break it up. Told by the right person, this could be a romantic tale of someone trying to save her love from a very bad decision; told wrong and it will come off as crazy and desperate. After all, she's about to speak up when the minister says, "Speak now," the single scariest, most awkward moment in any wedding. One way or the other, it would be dramatic.

"Better Than Revenge"
A young girl, who admittedly is not so innocent, loses her boyfriend to the school harlot. But this girl isn't going to stand idly by and cry. She's going to mess this girl up. Swift never says exactly what she plans to do, but in the hands of the right comedic director, it could be quite funny. Think more Mean Girls and less Single White Femaleand you'll get where I'm going with this.

Taylor Swift Planning Festive Birthday

Taylor Swift loves having a birthday so close to Christmas because it means other people can swap gifts instead of her being the main focus of celebrations.

Taylor Swift is planning a Christmas-themed birthday party.

The 'Love Story'singer - who is rumoured to be dating actor Jake Gyllenhaal - turns 21 on December 13 and loves celebrating during the festive season because it means there is less focus on her.

She explained: "I love having a Christmas themed birthday party so people can give each other presents at my birthday party, so it's not so much a spotlight birthday [thing] - especially with a 21st birthday where people are like, 'Huh? Huh? What's she gonna do?'

"I didn't want it to be a crazy club thing, I just want it to be very me and the me thing to do would be to have a Christmas birthday party."

Taylor certainly has a lot to celebrate this year, as her latest album 'Speak Now' broke sales records in its first week of release earlier this year and she admits it took a while for the news to sink in.

On hearing the news she told US TV show 'Access Hollywood': "That was just a crazy phone call to get. To have the phone call with my mom and dad on the phone and my record label president says, 'I guess you're my million dollar baby!'I was like, 'Are you serious? Are you talking in code? Are you saying what I think you're saying, because if you're saying that, I'm gonna need a minute.'"

Entertainment Weekly Names Taylor Swift Entertainer Of The Year

Thanks to her record breaking year, Entertainment Weekly has named Taylor Swift as their Entertainer of the Year. At only twenty years old, she is the youngest performer ever to be so honored. In the past extraordinary year the multi-platinum selling singer-songwriter headlined a triumphant concert tour, won four Grammy awards, and launched ‘Speak Now’, her third studio album, which went platinum within a week of its release.

Much like Taylor’s earlier two albums, ‘Speak Now’ received great reviews, partly due to her sincere lyrics that honor trustworthy, loyal friends, high school crushes, and ex-boyfriends. ‘Back to December’ and ‘Mine’, her first two singles, were also touching tributes to former relationships. Her songs sound autobiographical and have caused a great deal of speculation, gossip and rumor published as fact. Taylor is amused by it all and keeps the mystery alive by declining to identify the allusions in her songs.

Last year Taylor became the subject of countless headlines when she was infamously interrupted during her acceptance of her MTV Video Music Award for Best Female Video, by rapper Kanye West. She gave no public response for a year and was reluctant to attend or perform on the 2010 MTV Awards show. Then she woke up one night and decided to sing ‘Innocent’, which she wrote in the aftermath of the 2009 fiasco.

Taylor will be taking the holidays off to rest up for her 2011 ‘Speak Now’ World Tour which will kick off in Singapore, on February 9. After weeks of speculation Jake Gyllenhaal andTaylor Swift finally reveal the truth about their relationship- they are indeed dating!

Jake and Taylor have been photographed on many coffee dates, suspected of visiting each other while in London and are now supposedly in “love” (according to US Weekly). The report about being in “love” with her new beau may hold some truth. Taylor was quoted in an interview with E! News saying that the next time she is in a relationship it will be because she has “really fallen hard for someone.” She definitely deserves it!

In the photograph that confirmed it all (to the right) Taylor isn’t shying away from showing her affection for the steamy actor by wrapping her arm around him. While Jake doesn’t try to hide his feelings for the beautiful and successful country artist either by grabbing her hand in return. The pair both have humungous smiles on their faces and seem to be having an amazing time together!

Taylor Swift has been linked to many boys, all of which are very HOT, but this is the first time she has been linked to a man! Jake may be nine years Taylor’s senior but with the age differences that exist now-a-days (i.e. Demi and Ashton) nine years is nothin’! Plus Taylor is said to be very mature for her 20 (soon to be 21) years of living.

I, a ginormus Taylor fan, am so glad these two have made their relationship official and are no longer hiding it from the public. If this famous couple follows in the steps of other famous couples reports will soon break about an engagement around Christmas time.

I can’t wait to hear the song(s) that are soon to follow from this couple. Hopefully they will be joyous songs but if they are about heartbreak I guarantee I will be one of the firsts to tell you about it! Congratulations Swyllenhaal!

Dolly Parton Says Miley Cyrus Is Enticed To Act ‘Trashy,’ Applauds Taylor Swift

Nashville country music legend Dolly Parton chimed in on her raunchy and controversial goddaughter Miley Cyrus who’s most known for playing the role Hannah Montana on Disney during an interview with Larry King Live. The country-music star admitted that Miley Cyrus is trying to get out of the bubble of being Hannah Montana and grow-up and spoke about the pressure that young girls are going through and trashy ways they feel they must adapt inorder to get accepted.

When Larry King mentioned Miley’s raunchy dancing and clothes, Dolly Parton said hopefully that Miley Cyrus didn’t get it from her and she didn’t approve of her over-the-top stage performances.

The music legend said she doesn’t know if Miley is surrounding herself around people that will help her make wise decisions, but her answers regarding country music star Taylor Swift were somewhat the opposite. In fact, Dolly Parton says Taylor Swift has a good head on her shoulders and seems to be surrounding herself around the right people.

Maybe this is a sign that Miley Cyrus needs to take notes from Taylor Swift.

As for being a rebillous teen, Dolly Parton recalled herself not wanting people to give her advice and wanting just the information and just to be left alone to do her own thing. So if Miley Cyrus wants help, Dolly Parton says her honorary goddaughter can come to her and she would do everything to help her in any way.

“I’m hoping that Miley is going to be just fine…. So I think we should just let her grow up.” Dolly Parton said.

When you’re 20 years old, your dating history is diminutive even when you’re a superstar…unless you’re Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton. Taylor Swift is America’s sweetheart country crooner and she plays the wholesome part of a southern belle virginal goodie-two-shoes. As such, she’s only had two confirmed relationships—though with very high profile gentlemen. And that doesn’t mean the rumors don’t fly.

She was linked to a doozy in 2007 when she caught the eye of every teen girl’s fantasy Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers. Disappointingly, their toothy-smiled, wispy-haired relationship ended abruptly the following year. But that doesn’t mean it didn’t leave a lasting mark—her heartbreak song ‘Forever & Always’ is reportedly based on her romance with the bushy-eyebrowed Disney star.

Like all young love, the fur started to fly post-break-up. According to Swift, Jonas dumped her on the phone and she responded by putting him on blast via The Ellen Degeneres Show saying, “I looked at the call log—it was like 27 seconds. That's got to be a record.” Then she posted an amusing promo video on her MySpace page where she holds up a Joe Jonas doll and says, “See, this one even comes with a phone, so he can break up with other dolls.”

Jonas, tired of having his good name dragged through the mud responded with a blog post writing, “I called to discuss feelings with the other person. Those feelings were obviously not well received. I did not end the conversation. Someone else did. Phone calls can only last as long as the person on the other end of the line is willing to talk. A phone call can be pretty short when someone else ends the call.”

But proving there is life after a Jonas, Swift stepped her game up and snagged a werewolf, and not just any werewolf—the werewolf Taylor Lautner. He and Swift shot scenes together for the 2009 movieValentines Day including a kissing sequence. Rumors quickly suggested the two were crushing hard for each other. Later when Swift hosted SNL in November 2009, she cracked jokes about her infamous Kanye West stage crash and took another jab at Jonas by admitting she was dating a werewolf. But the whirlwind romance was short-lived and the two parted ways before the new year rolled around.

Lyrics like "Don't you think I was too young/To be messed with" and "Don't you think 19's too young/To be played/By your dark, twisted games/When I loved you so" point straight to a messy break-up. If the past is any indication, this superstar is not afraid to name names in her songs.\

But Taylor didn't seem to learn too much from her heartbreak following a relationship with an older man. The country darling has most recently been seen out and about with 29-year-old actor Jake Gyllenhaal. He better stick to Taylor's rules or he may be the subject of a 'Dear John' sequel, 'Dear Jake.'

After reportedly spending Thanksgiving together in Brooklyn, Taylor Swift and new boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal were spotted together in Nashville grabbing food and coffee at Fido Eatery. The above photo was snapped by a store employee.

On Thanksgiving, the couple was spotted at Gorilla Coffee in Park Slope, Brooklyn slurping on maple lattes. "They were really sweet, really really sweet," said an employee. "They get treated like normal people around here." The source also said that Jake is a regular since his sister lives nearby, and that Taylor was a first-timer.

The photo speaks for itself and hey, she never did deny it.

Taylor Swift is allegedly trying to make Taylor Lautner jealous.

According to the National Enquirer, the You Belong With Me singer has been using current beau Jake Gyllenhaal in order to grab the Twilight hunk's attention... And even her mom is in on the act!

"Taylor is hoping her dates with Jake are making Lautner crazy," claims a source.

"She even had her mom Andrea call Taylor and tell him how much better his life would be if he was still dating her daughter! And Andrea wants them together again because she thinks Taylor is the most stable guy for her daughter. He’s the only one of Taylor’s boyfriends she approves of.”

According to the insider, Lautner - who also reportedly had a romance with Swift's BFF Selena Gomez - plans to holiday with the country star.

Country singer Taylor Swift gave Miley Cyrus some words of wisdom as she wished her happy birthday.

Miley turned 18 yesterday and Taylor offered her some advice via her Twitter page.

The Mine singer wrote: 'Happy Birthday Miley. Your 18 [sic]. Not 21. Just remember that. :-)'

It comes after a picture surfaced of Miley looking very grown up with a boy pressed on top of her.

The Hannah Montana star was caught with him seemingly kissing her at Hollywood club Trousdale after the American Music Awards in the early hours of Monday.

Cyrus was at the club for an after AMAs and pre 18th birthday party.

2010 American Music Awards (AMA): Taylor Swift Grabs her Third Country Female Artist Award

The 38th Annual American Music Awards is underway at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, and Taylor Swift was among the early winners. Although she received only one nomination this year, the 20-year-old country beauty made the best of it. At the Sunday, November 21 ceremony, she was announced as the winner of Favorite Country Female Artist. 

Beating heavy competitors Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood, the "Mine" hitmaker thanked fans upon receiving the award. "I only wanna thank the fans," she gushed. "You get me and you know where I'm coming from." This is the third year in a row she took home the title since winning it first in 2008. 

While Taylor nabbed her seventh AMA kudos, Justin Bieber grabbed his first wins. The 16-year-old nailed T-Mobile Breakthrough Artist, besting over the likes ofLady Antebellum, Travis McCoy and Mike Posner, and Reuters reported that he beat Eminem in the pop/rock category when his album "My World 2.0" came out as the Favorite Album. 

Justin's mentor Usher also scored a win on the special night. He was presented the award for Favorite Soul/R&B Album thanks to his "Raymond vs. Raymond" album. Other winners included Black Eyed Peas who grabbed Favorite Pop/Rock Group,Shakira who was given Favorite Latin Music kudo and Rihanna who was dubbed Favorite Female Soul/R&B Artist.

Taylor Swift: Bullying Inspires Me To be a Musician

Taylor Swift says her school bullies inspired her to become a musician. The 20-year-old singer was tormented by several classmates when her family moved from their farmhouse in Pennsylvania to a new house in the city. The pupils would tease her and shun her offers of friendship, but ultimately she believes those adolescent experiences made her more determined to pursue her music dream. 

"There are two ways you can with it if you are bullied," she said. "You can let it destroy you, or you can use it as fuel to drive you: to dream bigger, work harder. I wasn't invited to parties and I look back now and I'm so thankful that I was at home playing guitar until my fingers bled." 

Taylor, who has just released her new album "Speak Now", says some of her bullies now come to her concerts and signing sessions but she no longer feels the need to confront them about what they did to her. She added to You magazine, "I don't think they even remember what happened." 

"And when I see them sitting in line at my meet-and-greets wearing my T-shirts, I'm not going to walk up to them and say, 'How could you do that?' Because look at how life has gone. They were there for a reason, and I'm happy about it."

Taylor Swift has Phobia about Being in the Wrong Relationship

Taylor Swift worries about being in the wrong relationship. The 20-year-old singer, who is rumored to be dating actor Jake Gyllenhaal and whose ex-boyfriends include Taylor Lautner and Joe Jonas, is not prepared to be with someone she believes is wrong for her. 

"It's a little strange that I'm typically single a lot," she said. "I have a phobia about being in the wrong relationship. So as soon as I establish it's not the right one, I don't want to waste their time." 

Despite her relationship worries, Taylor is still "fascinated" by love, though admits she has only recently realized there is no "strategy" to finding romantic happiness. She added to Allure magazine, "Relationships are fascinating and riveting and completely unpredictable. For me, love is everything." 

"I used to think there were all these rules for making people like you. I was filled with advice! I'd tell my friends things like, 'Don't accept that apology! That isn't sincere!' or 'He hung out with his ex-girlfriend? Get rid of him.' " 

"But love is never that simple. Now I'm finally getting the idea it's the one thing I don't need to have a strategy for."
